Why bar replay beats scrolling old charts
Scrolling back through history and "spotting" perfect entries trains nothing — your eye already knows how the story ends. That hindsight bias is why chart review feels easy while live trading feels chaotic. Replay removes it structurally: the future is hidden, candles arrive one at a time, and your entry either survives what comes next or it does not. Is the bar replay really free?
Yes, for Community members — and the Community tier itself has no monthly fee. It unlocks when you open a trading account with our official broker partner using the KINETIC FAMILY IB code. Intraday replay depth is not paywalled the way it is on major charting platforms.
How far back does the replay data go?
To 2015. The archive is real XAUUSD price history collected from Exness, built from tick data and served as M1 candles with their historical spread, aggregated to whichever timeframe you practice on.
Can I place practice trades during replay, or only watch?
You trade. The simulator accepts market, limit and stop orders with stop loss and take profit, validates them like a real terminal, and tracks P&L and equity across the session — replay is a trading rehearsal, not a slideshow.
Does the simulation account for spread?
Yes. Each candle carries its historical spread: BUY positions exit on bid, SELL on ask, and when SL and TP are touched within the same candle the engine assumes SL hit first. Practice numbers stay honest instead of flattering.
Which instruments can I replay?
XAUUSD (gold) — the instrument our entire community specializes in. One deep, honest dataset beats a shallow catalog of markets for deliberate practice.
Do I need to install anything?
